Ingredients

CINNAMON BROWN BUTTER CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE BARS

Crust:

Filling:

  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 6 tbsp heavy cream
  • ⅓ cup zero calorie sweetener
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

Topping:

  • 3 tbsp sugar free chocolate chips
  • ½ tsp coconut oil

Method

  1. Preheat the oven 350 F and prepare a 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Place the cookies and almond flour into a food processor and blend until fine crumbles form.
  3. Add in the melted butter and pulse to combine.
  4. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake it for 6-7 minutes and the edges start to brown.
  5. Add the butter, heavy cream and zero calorie sweetener to a medium sized pot over mediumheat.
  6. Cook for 12-15 minutes and the mixture starts to darken in color.
  7. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and pecan pieces until well coated.
  8. Transfer to the crust and press the mixture evenly over the crust. Chill for at least 2 hours.
  9. Add the chocolate and coconut oil to a microwave safe dish and cook for 20 seconds, stir and cook another 20 seconds and stir smooth.
  10. Drizzle chocolate over the pecans. Chill until chocolate hardens. Cut into 16 bars and serve.
